With an NYC311 Online Account, you can:

  • Keep track of all your Service Requests in one convenient location
  • File Service Requests without entering your contact information each time
  • Set preferences for how you receive status updates on your Service Requests

You aren’t required to have an online account to use our website or file Service Requests; it just makes things a bit easier.

Signing up is easy.

To create an NYC311 Online Account:

  1. Click “Sign Up” on the right side of the NYC311 homepage or click here.
  2. Choose the “Sign Up Now” link.
  3. Enter your email address and click the “Send verification code” button.
  4. Check your inbox for the email with the verification code. The email will be from our business partner, Microsoft.
  5. Enter the verification code from the email into the appropriate field.
  6. Click the “Verify code” button.
  7. Enter and confirm your new password. (Passwords must be 8-16 characters and contain 3 out of 4 of the following: lowercase characters, uppercase characters, digits (0-9), and symbols.)
  8. Enter your First and Last Name.
  9. Click the “Create” button… and then you’re all set!

To reset your NYC311 Online Account’s password:

  1. Click “Sign In” on the right side of the NYC311 homepage or click here.
  2. Click the “Forgot your password?” link.
  3. Enter your email address and click the “Send verification code” button.
  4. Retrieve the verification code from your email and enter it in the appropriate field.
  5. Click “Verify code.”
  6. After your email address has been verified, click the “Continue” button.
  7. Enter your new password then re-enter it for confirmation.
  8. Click “Continue” to reset your password.
  9. Log in to your account using your new password.

You can close your NYC311 Online Account.

Please note that once you have closed your account you may check the status of any Service Requests you have filed in the past by looking up your Service Request Number using Service Request Lookup.
