If you were receiving GetFoodNYC emergency meals up until the program ended, and you are aged 60 or older, you may have been transitioned to a temporary 60+ Recovery Meals Service. There is no sign up or opt-in process for Recovery Meals Service.

Recovery Meals is a temporary service ending on June 30, 2022.

As part of the 60+ Recovery Meals Service, you will be receiving 7 meals per week through June 30, 2022. You can request to discontinue these meals at any time.

The 60+ Recovery Meals Service is only for older adults who were clients of GetFoodNYC and continue to need meal delivery assistance after the program ended.

Meal Types

All meals will be frozen. There are 6 meal types:

  • Standard
  • Kosher
  • Vegetarian
  • Halal
  • Pan-Asian
  • Latin 

This service does not deliver groceries.

Delivery Schedule

All meals will be delivered either once or twice a week. Your delivery schedule cannot be changed.

You must be home for the meal delivery. Meals will not be left outside your door.

If you are going to be in a hospital, rehabilitation center or visiting friends/family, meal deliveries may be suspended or put on hold for up to one month.

  • Submit a comment or complaint
  • Confirm your meal delivery schedule
  • Request to discontinue meals delivery

Agents are available by phone during business hours. If you don't reach a customer representative due to high call volume, call back later.
